Where Passion Takes Flight
• Sharing the Love of Aviation with Others •
Founded in 2023 and strengthened by the 2025 acquisition of Wetaskiwin Air Services and Absolute Aviation—respected names in Canadian aviation since 1975—we proudly carry forward a 50-year legacy of safety, professionalism, and service.
Based in Central Alberta and operating from both Wetaskiwin and Lacombe, we offer a dynamic training environment focused on sound decision-making, human factors awareness, and well-being. Our uncontrolled airport locations allow for minimal delays, lower costs, and more time flying, while proximity to controlled airspace provides valuable real-world experience.
Students train on a diverse fleet of high-wing and low-wing aircraft and in our certified AL-SIM simulator, ensuring consistent progress—even on poor weather days. Fully furnished accommodations are available, providing a comfortable, supportive environment that helps students stay focused and connected throughout their training journey.
Supported by our certified Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO), we provide expert maintenance not only for our own fleet but also for third-party operators across a variety of fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft types. Every service we deliver is backed by technical excellence, precision, and a steadfast commitment to safety.
At General Lee Aviation, we don’t just teach people to fly — we develop confident, capable aviators who embody professionalism, sound judgment, and respect for the skies.
Flight Training
We strive to deliver innovative, high-quality, and advanced learning techniques to our students. We work hard to meet the diverse needs of our students and assist them in the development of attitudes and personal skills with our goal not only to meet the Transport Canada minimum requirements but to exceed them, which will create the strong foundation necessary for success in the aviation industry.
Other Ratings
We offer various additional ratings that pilots can complete to expand their capabilities and the type of conditions they are able to fly in. To take any of these ratings, the individual must hold a valid Private Pilot License.
Aircraft Rental
Our fleet currently consists of Piper Cherokee 140’s. Piper’s has been the trusted option used by flight schools for over 80 years. Their sturdy design makes them not only stable in day-to-day flying but also gives them incredible crosswind handling. They have a single door on the right side, which is entered by stepping on the wing.
Discovery + Scenic
A Discovery Flight is designed to allow those who are interested to experience the controls of a small aircraft. Every pilot whether recreational, private, or commercial began their journeys with a Discovery Flight. These flights are around 45 minutes long, during which you will be accompanied by one of our instructors while going through basic flight maneuvers.
