Matthew Hamm

Hello! My name is Matthew Hamm. I am a Class III flight instructor, and I am excited to be joining the team at General Lee Aviation!

I trained at Moncton Flight College in Moncton New Brunswick, and graduated in February of 2023 from their Integrated Commercial Pilot Course, and then went on to complete my Instructor rating with them as well.

Getting into Aviation has been a dream of mine since I was young, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to become a pilot after a 10-year career as an industrial electrician. Dreams really can come true!

My favorite part about instructing is watching my students succeed. It makes me proud when they achieve their goals; it is an honor to be a part of that.

My biggest piece of advice for new students is to not be afraid to ask lots of questions along the way. And remember to have fun!
