Begin your Flight Training with a Discovery Flight at General Lee Aviation.

A Discovery Flight is designed to allow those who are interested to experience the controls of a small aircraft. Every pilot whether recreational, private, or commercial began their journeys with a Discovery Flight. These flights are around 45 minutes long, during which you will be accompanied by one of our instructors while going through basic flight maneuvers. 

Head south to see the City of Red Deer, Blackfalds and the Red Deer River bends, or head west to see the beautiful Gull & Sylvan Lake accompanied by farm fields.

During a Discovery Flight you will be introduced to:

Takeoff and Landing
Aircraft Familiarization
Climbing and Descending
Attitudes of Flight
Pitch, Roll & Yaw
How to communicate with other aircraft

Sessions are about 1 hour in length. The cost for a discovery flight is $210 + GST

Scenic Flights are a one of a kind experience for all occasions. The perfect gift for those hard to buy for, a great date night experience, or ‘just because’. 

Scenic tours are completely customizable based on the sights you want to see and budget. Don’t know where to go? We have put together a variety of tours that will take you over landmarks in the area such as Sylvan & Gull Lake, Drumheller, Red Deer Canyons, and the Rumsey Natural Area.
